Old Harbor Farm

About the Venue
Nestled on 126 acres of gently rolling farmland, Old Harbor Farm offers more than just open skies—it tells a story stretching back to 1856. Originally purchased by Jacob Hittinger, a visionary entrepreneur and founder of the Fresh Pond Ice Company, the farm once harvested ice from the nearby Harbor Pond. Over the generations, its fertile fields have nourished asparagus, dairy, apples, and today—freshly baled hay tended by the Shepherd family. As you walk the grounds, traces of bygone buildings whisper of its layered past. Just across the lane, the beautifully restored Old Harbor Church and the historic Boston & Maine railroad line—now the scenic Squannacook River Rail Trail—round out the view, blending rustic charm with New England heritage.
